PHILANTHROPY

    As long as the Mu Lambda chapter has been active at the University of South Carolina, we have emphasized philanthropy as a main point of our semester operations. Our main philanthropy organizations are the Relay for Life foundation for cancer research, our campus Dance Marathon organization that donates over $1 million per year to MUSC Children’s Hospital, and Just Tryan It, a foundation started by brother Ryan Darby that supports children in their fight against cancer.

This past semester as a chapter we raised over $11,000 for several different philanthropies. We participated in many philanthropic events such as the Alpha Chi Omega Paint War and the Zeta Tau Alpha Big Man on Campus. We broke our chapter’s record for most funds raised in a single semester and have our sights set on breaking this record again next semester.
